Empowering the Next Generation: BIOBLACK Project Launches First Biodiversity Training

We area thrilled to announce the successful launch of the first training session for the BIOBLACK project, held in collaboration with the TÜBİTAK 4004 “Toward a Sustainable Future: The School for Green Entrepreneurs (325B166)” project. This milestone event gathered 40 students from different science high school in Trabzon for educational experience focused on the biodiversity of the Black Sea..

Bridging Technology and Conservation
At the heart of this training was the integration of cutting-edge digital tools with environmental science. Students engaged with the project’s 3D models of Black Sea marine species, a centerpiece of our commitment to interactive learning. Participants gained a deeper, tactile understanding of the marine ecosystems right on their doorstep by visualizing aquatic life with unprecedented detail, .

Fostering Environmental Stewardship
Beyond biological discovery, the session emphasized active civic engagement. We introduced our citizen science application, equipping the participants with the methodologies and digital tools necessary to:

  •  Contribute to real-world scientific data collection.
  •  Engage in meaningful environmental problem-solving.
  •  Take an active role in local conservation efforts.

This training represents a significant step forward in our mission to bridge the gap between technology and ecological awareness. The BIOBLACK project is proud to inspire and equip the next generation of researchers, scientists, and conservation leaders by empowering youth with these resources.
