Each project partner will prepare a national biodiversity status report. These reports will be compared and synthesized into a joint report covering species diversity, international biodiversity conventions, key threats, marine protected areas and their importance. The most severe threats in national waters, lessons learned, and gaps in legal enforcement and conservation practices will be identified. The objective is to compare biodiversity status and threats among countries and to propose technical, administrative and legal measures for improvement.
