A mobile application named BLACKPYRAMID and an associated website will be developed to support citizen science and raise awareness of Black Sea marine biodiversity. Citizens such as fishermen, divers and young people will contribute by uploading species photos with date and location information. Submitted records will be validated by experts before publication. Training activities will promote the use of the BLACKPYRAMID application, with at least 50 registered users in each country. This approach will enable cost-effective, large-scale mapping of marine organisms, particularly threatened and endangered species, across the Black Sea.
