Educational and awareness-raising activities will be implemented to address key threats to Black Sea biodiversity, including overfishing, invasive species, pollution, habitat loss and climate change. Trainings and presentations will target fishermen, divers, students, young people and local authorities, with a primary focus on students and youth. Participants will learn about native, invasive and endangered species through practical activities, including boat surveys and the use of 3D-printed marine organisms displayed on a food pyramid. Fishermen will receive specific training on the impacts of fishing gear, ghost fishing and plastic pollution. Awareness materials and the citizen science application BLACKPYRAMID will support these activities. Each partner will organize 10–20 events, reaching at least 300–400 people per country.
