This activity includes four main activities.
First, approximately 30 Black Sea marine species representing different trophic levels (from phytoplankton to top predators), including native, invasive, endangered and extinct species, will be produced as 3D miniatures and displayed on a triangular food pyramid for educational purposes. Species will be labeled in Latin, English and national languages. The 3D models will be produced in Türkiye and shared with partner countries.
Second, each partner will organize a sea survey using appropriate fishing gears to introduce Black Sea organisms to stakeholders. Underwater photos and videos will be shared on the project website and used in educational activities.
Third, one national workshop will be held in each country to present biodiversity status reports and to exhibit the 3D food pyramid.
Finally, awareness materials (brochures, posters, e-booklets and T-shirts) will be produced in national languages and English to disseminate information on Black Sea species, threats and conservation status, and distributed to stakeholders and young people.
